Eli David was the Director of Israel's civilian foreign intelligence and covert action organization, the Mossad. He had three children: the double agent Ari Haswari, the NCIS Agent Ziva David and Tali David, who was killed in a suicide bombing when she was only 16 years old. Tali DiNozzo is his only grandchild.
in 2013, Eli was killed in a shooting in the house of Leon Vance. Leon's wife, Jackie, also sustained severe injuries, and died in the hospital mere hours later.
