Donald Horatio Mallard was a doctor and medical examiner. He worked for the NCIS, especially for the Major Case Response Team led by Gibbs.
Ducky grew up in Scotland. He graduated from the University of Edinburgh's Medical School. Aside from medicine, he also studied forensic psychology, English and history. He used to work for the British police, and served in the military during the Vietnam War.
