Professor Audrey Ruth Donovan was the mother of Zane Donovan and his siblings. She was a kind and smart woman, although her specialties weren't the same as her son's. She preferred literature and languages over "cold, hard science", but she supported all of her children nonetheless.
While she wasn't exactly happy with her husband, she did love him until the end, and refused to give up on their marriage.
